Little Faces, Big Smiles: A Fundraising Campaign (Ongoing, 2025)
(Health | Fundraising | Community Impact)

Overview
This fundraising campaign supports the National Center for Maternal and Child Health in Mongolia – Maxillofacial Department, where thousands of children suffer from cleft lip and palate, traumatic facial injuries, and severe dental complications. These conditions affect not only their health but also their confidence, education, and future opportunities.

A national study involving 8,000 children in Mongolia found that 23.1% had facial deformities, 6.2% suffered traumatic injuries, and 60% faced dental issues related to the maxillofacial area. Children under 14 are especially vulnerable, with nearly 15% affected by serious facial deformities.

My Role & Contribution
As a co-organizer, I helped lead the fundraising efforts through the Brilliant Minds Global Mentorship Program 2025 and the Los Angeles Mongolian Student Union, in partnership with Orthospine Co. I was responsible for outreach, donation coordination, and promoting the campaign to international supporters.
So far, I have successfully raised $1,000 toward our overall goal of $30,000 USD (over 100 million MNT) to purchase essential surgical equipment and improve treatment for children.

Impact
This campaign brings hope to children born with maxillofacial conditions and helps reduce the strain on Mongolia’s healthcare system. Each contribution is more than a donation — it’s a gift of confidence, healing, and a brighter future. Together, we are giving children a reason to smile again.
